On 2nd November, 2023, in Seoul, Republic of Korea, the 9th Global ICT Leadership Forum 2023 was hosted by Korean Ministry of Science and Technology and organised by the National Agency Society Information with the theme of “Global Cooperation for Co-Prosperity Society”. The forum was attended by Korean IT policymakers, partner countries and international organizations; Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology attended the forum.

The forum focused on exchanging and discussing the implementation of the New Digital Initiative with international partners and introducing the results and vision of digital transformation policies in Korea. In the first session, the topic “Digital Empowerment in the Emerging Global Model of Digital Government” was conducted with panelists including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTI, Dr. Xayluaa Insisiengmay – Vice Minister of Technology and Communications of Lao PDR, Dr.Tenzing Jime – Acting Secretary of Bhutan Technology Agency.

During the sessions, the conference also discussed the challenges of the socio-economic crisis, solutions to handle and strengthen cooperation between Korea and partner countries, moving towards achieving the goals. sustainable development through addressing economic, educational and social issues related to ICT.

The contents of the forum included the future application trend of artificial intelligence, and what Korea’s leading technology companies are doing to ensure their position and development, discussing the digital ecosystem and innovation based on digital platforms from the perspective of scientists and management agencies and exploration and promotion of new cooperation projects between Korea and partner countries.

 At the forum, Korean speakers also shared experience in innovation activities based on digital transformation and the opportunities for the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology to participate in collaborative projects to support digital transformation sponsored by the Korean government to develop a digital university model.
