On June 8, 2026, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), in collaboration with the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), Seokyeong University, and Korean partners, officially launched the Korea–ASEAN Digital Academy (KADA) Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event marks a new milestone in cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea in developing high-quality digital talent to meet the growing demand of the labor market in the fields of digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and innovation. Prior to this, PTIT and NIPA had gone through several phases of strategic cooperation to build a solid foundation for training activities and digital human resource development. Since 2022, the two sides have jointly implemented an IT talent training program featuring intensive courses in software development, databases, and ReactJS,…. Subsequently, in April 2026, PTIT and NIPA officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a long-term cooperation framework based on four key pillars: IT human resource training, scientific research, technology transfer, and the development of an innovation and startup ecosystem.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Deuk Jung Kim, Executive Vice President of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA); Mr. Ryu Seung Ho, Consul of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City; Professor Bryan Lee, Dean of College of Multidisciplinary Studies, Seokyeong University; as well as representatives from enterprises, educational institutions, media organizations, and a large number of students.

Representing PTIT, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, attended the event together with leaders of various faculties and departments. The Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam also sent a congratulatory flower stand to celebrate the event.
In his remarks, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Hoai Bac emphasized that developing digital talent is one of PTIT’s key missions in the context of rapid global digital transformation and the advancement of artificial intelligence. He reaffirmed PTIT’s commitment to expanding cooperation with international partners to provide learners with opportunities to access emerging technologies, modern learning environments, and global industry networks.
According to NIPA representatives, KADA Vietnam is part of a broader initiative between Korea and ASEAN countries aimed at enhancing digital capabilities among young people, accelerating digital transformation, and strengthening connections between education, industry, and the labor market.

As part of the program, delegates participated in the official launch ceremony of KADA Vietnam, joined a panel discussion on trends in AI and digital talent development, and engaged with domestic and international enterprises.
As a leading national university in digital technology under the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, PTIT currently offers programs in high-demand fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Semiconductor Technology, Multimedia Technology, Digital Communications, Financial Technology, and Digital Economy.

Through international cooperation programs such as KADA Vietnam, PTIT students have additional opportunities to engage with international experts, access emerging technologies, participate in practice-oriented training programs, obtain international certifications, and explore career opportunities aligned with industry needs in the context of global integration.
