Chosun University (Republic of Korea), in collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is offering a Master’s Scholarship Program for applicants from KOICA partner countries, including Vietnam. The program aims to develop high-quality human resources in engineering while providing participants with opportunities to enhance their academic expertise and gain study and research experience in the Republic of Korea.

The Office of Science, Technology and International Cooperation hereby announces the program to all units with the following information:

1. Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a citizen of a KOICA partner country (including Vietnam);
  • Have graduated from a bachelor’s degree program or be expected to graduate before August 2026;
  • Meet the admission requirements and submit all required application documents in accordance with the program regulations.

2. Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship provides comprehensive support, including:

  • Full tuition waiver for the entire Master’s program;
  • A free 400-hour Korean language course after enrollment;
  • Free on-campus accommodation throughout the study period;
  • Health insurance coverage;
  • A monthly living allowance of KRW 1,200,000;
  • Round-trip airfare between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea;
  • Upon graduation, participants will be eligible to undertake a six-month internship and may have the opportunity to receive support in changing to an engineer visa in accordance with the regulations of the Republic of Korea if they wish to pursue long-term employment there.

The scholarship package also covers tuition fees, Korean language training fees, dormitory accommodation, health insurance, living expenses, and travel-related support in accordance with KOICA regulations.

3. Language Requirements

Applicants are not required to have Korean language proficiency before traveling to the Republic of Korea. After enrollment, participants will attend a 400-hour Korean language training course supported by the program.

According to the admission requirements, applicants must satisfy the language proficiency requirement through one of the qualifications accepted by the university, such as TOPIK, IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent evidence of language proficiency.
