The Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam, in collaboration with EU Member States and EURAXESS ASEAN, is organizing the programme “Choose Europe for Science and Technology” to introduce opportunities for research collaboration, academic exchange, and science & technology funding between Europe and Vietnam.

The programme is designed for researchers, universities, research institutes, startups, and innovation organizations interested in international cooperation in science and technology.

Programme details are as follows:

  • Main topics:
    • Introduction to Horizon Europe and research opportunities in Europe;
    • Information on funding programmes and scholarships from Austria, France, Germany, and Italy;
    • Sharing experiences from international collaborative research projects;
    • Networking with project coordinators and European experts.

Some highlighted programmes and funding opportunities introduced at the event include:

  • Horizon Europe
    • The European Union’s research and innovation programme for the 2021–2027 period;
    • Total budget: EUR 95.5 billion.
  • Choose France for Science
    • A programme supporting international researchers conducting research in France;
    • Total programme budget: EUR 100 million;
    • Each project may receive funding of up to EUR 2.5 million.
  • National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Italy)
    • Italy is investing more than EUR 11 billion to develop its national research and innovation ecosystem.

In addition, the programme will introduce scholarship opportunities, academic exchange programmes, and international research collaborations through organizations such as DAAD (Germany), EURAXESS ASEAN, and European research agencies.
