PTIT works with the Vietnamese Professionals and Students Association in the U.S. (VPS), promoting international research and academic collaboration

On June 22, 2026, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) held a working session with representatives of the Vietnamese Professionals and Students Association in the U.S. (VPS) to discuss potential cooperation in education, scientific research, and the connection of overseas Vietnamese expert networks.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged updates on the current activities of VPS and explored opportunities to connect the network of Vietnamese experts, researchers, and students in the United States with PTIT’s education and research ecosystem.

Representing PTIT, Assoc. Prof. Dang Hoai Bac introduced PTIT’s strategic development directions in key technology areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), while also sharing insights into PTIT’s research groups, laboratories, and innovation ecosystem currently under development.

During the discussion, the two sides explored a number of potential cooperation directions, including the development of joint research programs, inviting Vietnamese experts in the United States to participate in teaching and guest lecturing at PTIT, as well as jointly developing online courses to expand students’ access to global knowledge.

One notable topic discussed was the development of a database of Vietnamese experts in the United States, which could serve as a key connection point for teaching activities, capstone project supervision, practical training, and collaborative research. In addition, the development of shared datasets was also highlighted as an important foundation to support training programs, particularly in the field of data engineering.

The meeting opened up promising prospects for strengthening connections between PTIT and the overseas Vietnamese intellectual community, contributing to the internationalization of education, enhancing training quality, and expanding research opportunities for PTIT’s faculty members and students in the coming time.
