As part of the Vietnam – Singapore Tech Connect Forum held in Singapore, a delegation from Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), led by Assoc. Prof. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT, participated in networking activities, partnership discussions, and the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with partners in the fields of science and technology, innovation, and digital ecosystem development.

General Secretary and President To Lam witnessed the exchange of Memoranda of Understanding between universities of Vietnam and Singapore, including the cooperation agreement between PTIT and the National University of Singapore (NUS).
The forum gathered representatives from government agencies, universities, research institutes, technology enterprises, and innovation organizations from both Vietnam and Singapore. The event aimed to strengthen cooperation in science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and high-quality human resource development between the two countries.
Within the framework of the forum, PTIT and the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development (NATEC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National University of Singapore (NUS).
NUS is one of Asia’s leading universities in technology, innovation, and applied research, with a highly influential startup and technology transfer ecosystem in the region. The cooperation focuses on organizing academic activities, innovation programs, startup ecosystem connectivity, applied research, and technology transfer initiatives. The parties also aim to implement training programs for lecturers, students, and stakeholders within the innovation ecosystem.

In addition, PTIT signed a cooperation agreement with the Singapore Digital Chamber of Commerce (SGDCC) to promote research collaboration, technology transfer, and innovation ecosystem development between the two sides.
The cooperation focuses on developing the digital economy ecosystem, accelerating digital transformation, and training human resources in digital technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and innovation. The two sides also discussed strengthening connections among enterprises, investment funds, and expanding collaboration opportunities between the technology ecosystems of Vietnam and Singapore.
During meetings and discussions, partners also shared experiences in developing university-linked innovation ecosystems, emphasizing the role of collaboration among universities, businesses, and research organizations in promoting applied research, technology transfer, and technology enterprise development.
Representing PTIT, the delegation discussed the possibility of implementing collaborative models to further develop the university’s innovation ecosystem, particularly in enhancing the connection between education, research, and practical industry demands.

As innovation and digital transformation continue to become key drivers of development, strengthening cooperation among educational institutions, research organizations, and international technology ecosystems is expected to contribute to enhancing research capacity, promoting technology transfer, and developing high-quality human resources.
In the coming period, PTIT will continue expanding international cooperation and gradually strengthen and further develop its innovation ecosystem, contributing to the development of Vietnam’s technology and digital economy ecosystem.
