At the end of the meeting, Nokia’s General Director said he was ready to share with Vietnam new research on 6G, experience in commercializing 5G and developing 5G networks for businesses. To strengthen the long-term partnership, Nokia needs to expand its business and build labs and R&D facilities in Vietnam, while actively participating in digital transformation.
An example of Nokia’s success in commercializing 5G and developing 5G networks for businesses is the world’s first digitally automated beer factory. The project was implemented by Nokia in conjunction with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and put into operation on May 16, 2022. The Industry 4.0 Nano Brewery is part of a Data Science pilot at the UTS Tech Lab. The 5G-connected brewery collects and monitors production data at every step and stores it digitally in the cloud to optimize the process. 5G connectivity is provided by Nokia’s FastMile 5G Gateway connected to the campus-wide Nokia Digital Automation Cloud 5G standalone private wireless network. The 5G private wireless network is delivered using multiple Nokia AirScale Indoor Radio (ASiR) small cells located throughout the UTS Tech Lab campus.
