On August 21, 2026, in Hanoi, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kaspersky Vietnam, with the aim of strengthening training, developing skills, and providing students with opportunities to gain practical exposure to the cybersecurity industry. 

Attending the ceremony, representatives from PTIT included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Xuan Dau, Dean of the Faculty of Information Security, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trong Khanh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Dr. Pham Vu Minh Tu, Director in charge of the Center for International Training; Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Deputy Head of the Department of Science and Technology Management and International Cooperation, along with representatives from faculties, departments, and units across PTIT.

Representing Kaspersky were Ms. Evgeniya Russkikh, Global Head of Cybersecurity Education, Kaspersky, Ms. Trishia Octaviano, Senior Manager of Cybersecurity Education for the Asia-Pacific region and representatives of Kaspersky Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, emphasized that the cooperation with Kaspersky marks an important step in combining PTIT’s strengths in education and training with Kaspersky’s expertise and international experience in cybersecurity. The two sides aim to develop a young workforce capable of meeting the future requirements for protecting digital systems and technologies. 

Under the cooperation framework, Kaspersky will provide at least 100 PTIT students with free access to the online courses “Cybersecurity Entry Level” and “Cybersecurity Fundamentals.” The Faculty of Information Security at PTIT will coordinate to incorporate these courses into its formal or extracurricular training programs.

The two sides also agreed to organize lectures and specialized sessions delivered directly by Kaspersky experts, focusing on current topics such as emerging trends in global cybersecurity threats, advanced malware analysis, and cybersecurity incidents affecting critical infrastructure.

To support the development of students’ practical skills, Kaspersky and PTIT will jointly organize Bootcamps/Hackathons. Kaspersky is expected to provide professional support for Hackathons organized by PTIT, while also sponsoring prizes and gifts for PTIT’s largest student event of the year. In particular, Kaspersky will send experts to participate in PTIT’s Summer School program, providing students with opportunities to gain direct access to practical knowledge and experience from industry professionals.

The two sides will continue to further concretize the cooperation activities in the coming period and develop an implementation plan for the entire academic year.

Through its cooperation with Kaspersky, PTIT continues to promote a model that connects education with industry, bringing the practical knowledge and experience of international experts into the learning environment while expanding opportunities for students to develop their capabilities in the field of cybersecurity.

It is known that Kaspersky Academy is Kaspersky’s cybersecurity training program, which aims to equip learners with practical knowledge and skills while strengthening connections between industry experts and educational institutions. Through online courses, specialized training programs, and interactive activities with experts, Kaspersky Academy provides students with opportunities to gradually gain exposure to the practical requirements of the cybersecurity industry and develop their professional capabilities.
