On October 24, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, and Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Vice President of PTIT, held a working session with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (HHTP) to promote research, commercialization, and technology transfer activities at PTIT.
During the session, PTIT leadership was introduced to the latest scientific and technological products developed by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at HHTP, such as an automatic waste collection robot. This product uses AI technology and GPS systems to identify waste collection locations and incorporates cameras to detect and avoid obstacles during operation.

Promoting innovation and scientific research is one of PTIT’s top priorities. Science and technology products researched and developed at HHTP hold high potential for commercialization and technology transfer and will be displayed at PTIT TECH HUB at the Ha Dong campus. These innovations are expected to attract not only students but also representatives from various ministries, PTIT’s partners, and international visitors.
Currently, PTIT TECH HUB exhibits several notable products such as Digital Human – Alda AI, a realistic human simulation system; Examtracker – an AI and computer vision-enabled anti-cheating system; electronic learning materials using virtual reality technology; early STEM programming education; Cosign – an AI-based sign language learning and translation app; and UAVs for locating missing persons and assessing air safety levels.
After the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, PTIT’s President, affirmed the institution’s commitment to investing additional resources to improve the quality of education and research by enhancing research, entrepreneurship, and innovation activities at the HHTP campus. He emphasized that these initiatives are key drivers for PTIT’s future development.
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, a unit under PTIT’s Youth Union, was established in 2020. After nearly five years, many student research projects, under the guidance of PTIT faculty, have achieved high recognition in national and international competitions. These include the “Aero ResQ: Search and Rescue Support System Using Wifi Waves and AI on UAVs,” which won the national category at the INTEL AI GLOBAL IMPACT FESTIVAL 2024 in Vietnam, and CoSign – a sign language learning support app that won the “Best Poster Design Award” at the Coding Fest 2024 hosted by the University of Sydney.
