On November 11, 2024, at its Hanoi campus, the Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) hosted Intel leaders and held a ceremony to award certificates to outstanding student teams participating in the AI Global Impact Festival competition.
Attending the meeting were PTIT representatives, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President and leaders of specialized faculties and management units. Representing Intel were Ms. Sarah Kemp, Vice President of Global Government Affairs; Ms. Do Thi Thu Huong, Director of Government Relations for Vietnam; and Ms. Bui Le Thuy Linh, Director of Government Customer Business.
Both sides engaged in fruitful discussions about potential collaborations, focusing on training human resources for the AI sector. AI Global Impact Festival Awards Ceremony During the event, certificates were awarded to PTIT student teams for their exceptional achievements in the AI Global Impact Festival, organized by Intel. Notably, the Aero ResQ project, developed by students Dinh Huu Hoang, Tran Duc Quan, and Pham Dinh Hai, won the Country Winner award for its practical application. The project leverages Wi-Fi waves and AI-powered UAVs to support search and rescue operations. Two other outstanding teams were also recognized: Team ALDA-AI: Nguyen Manh Hung and Vu Son Tung. Team SREC: Nguyen Truong Giang, Nguyen Chi Minh Hieu, and Nguyen Dinh Dat. These teams impressed with innovative and highly practical AI-driven technological solutions.
