The Office of Science, Technology Management and International Cooperation, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), would like to announce the Netherlands – Southeast Asia Semiconductor Talent Programme 2026, a talent development initiative in the semiconductor field jointly organized by Nuffic Southeast Asia, the Government of the Netherlands, Dutch technical universities, and industry partners.
The programme aims to strengthen collaboration with Southeast Asian universities and semiconductor enterprises, while providing students in the region with opportunities to access the semiconductor industry ecosystem and advanced manufacturing technologies.

1. Time and Venue
- Time: August 3 – 14, 2026
- Venue: Malaysia
- Week 1: Kuala Lumpur – Universiti Malaya & Advanced Semiconductor Academy of Malaysia
- Week 2: Penang – Universiti Sains Malaysia
2. Programme Activities
Selected students will:
- Attend specialized seminars led by industry experts and enterprises
- Participate in networking activities with industry partners
- Explore international career opportunities in the semiconductor sector
3. Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Final-year undergraduate students majoring in STEM-related fields (Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related disciplines)
- Minimum GPA: 3.0/4.0 or equivalent
- Minimum English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 80 / TOEFL ITP 550 / IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
4. Application Documents
Nominated students are required to prepare the following documents:
- Copy of passport (valid until at least February 2027) or national ID card
- Academic transcript
- Motivation letter (maximum 1 page), including:
- Reasons for participating in the programme
- Knowledge related to the semiconductor field
- Expectations and intended contributions after the programme
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- University recommendation letter
- Certificates, awards, and other supporting documents (if any)
5. Important Notes
- Nominated students must submit their online application to Nuffic before June 7, 2026.
- The selection results are expected to be announced before July 7, 2026.
- The programme fee, accommodation, local transportation, and site visits will be covered by the organizers.
- International airfare, insurance, and living expenses are not covered; students are responsible for arranging or seeking appropriate funding support.
