(PTIT) – 2025 marks a powerful journey of growth for the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology as it continuously establishes strategic alliances with global technology giants. From Semiconductors and AI to Information Security, PTIT is gradually realizing its aspiration to become a leading technology training and research center in the region.

Valuable partnerships from Silicon Valley to Asia and Europe

  • In 2025, the Semiconductor Microchip field will become the focal point in the Institute’s internationalization strategy. At the beginning of the year, PTIT was present in Austria to sign an agreement with EVGroup (EVG) on research into nanotechnology and 3D chip packaging.

  • The excitement continued to spread as PTIT established relationships with US partners. The collaboration with Intel has made AI a true teaching assistant for students, while the agreement with San Jose State University (SJSU) opens the door for PTIT students to intern in the “heart” of Silicon Valley – San Jose, California.

  • PTIT signed an agreement with Meshlink to receive the XR Semiconductor platform simulating the 50-step MOSFET manufacturing process, serving virtual reality semiconductor training. In addition, the signing ceremony with Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) – a leading research university in South Korea – opened opportunities for faculty exchange and joint research in mechanical and electronic engineering.

  • PTIT collaborates with Rapid Space focusing on 5G/6G product research and development, giving students access to advanced mobile network hardware and software source code.

Forming a “multipolar” technology ecosystem

Not limited to traditional partners, PTIT’s network by 2025 will span across continents:

  • Australia-Vietnam cooperation: The establishment of the Strategic Technology Centre (AVSTC) with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Nokia, equipped with a separate 5G network (Nokia NDAC), has transformed PTIT into a leading 5G/6G and AI research “Hub”. In addition, there is a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Macquarie University.

  • Expansion to Japan & Singapore: PTIT signed an agreement with Chubu University in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung in Tokyo, and welcomed a delegation from Waseda University to promote joint research. In Singapore, PTIT collaborated with the National University of Singapore (NUS) to develop a leadership and management program in the digital age (VLGM).

  • Russian and Algerian influence: In addition to traditional partners, PTIT expanded its cooperation in space and satellite technology with Volgograd State Technical University and a delegation from St. Petersburg (Bonch-Bruevich University). In Africa, an agreement with USTHB University (Algeria) was signed in the presence of the Prime Ministers of both countries, affirming the Academy’s academic prestige.

  • ASEAN region: PTIT affirmed its leading role by welcoming the Minister of Technology and Communications of Laos and participating in the Digital Government Forum in Cambodia to support the training of digital human resources for the country.
  • Telecommunications infrastructure partnership: The signing of an agreement with ZTE HK Vietnam provided telecommunications students with the opportunity to experience next-generation core network equipment right in the classroom.

  • Shaping the Digital Future: Collaboration with Seoul Cyber University (SCU)

PTIT – SCU

The most strategic highlight in 2025 is the strong shift towards a borderless digital university model. PTIT has strengthened its cooperation with Seoul Cyber University (SCU) – South Korea’s number one online university – to:

  1. Establish a global digital university network: PTIT and SCU will jointly lead a network connecting prestigious universities, sharing digital learning materials and a common online training platform.
  2. Operate a joint training office in Korea: Facilitating access for the Vietnamese community in Korea to dual degree programs in applied IT.
  3. Virtual Convergence University Network: PTIT officially joins the global network with SCU and other arts and technology schools (such as Moholy-Nagy – Hungary), realizing a modern education model in the digital space.

The Mark of World-Class Research and Training Centers

2025 also marks the establishment of a series of key technology centers, resulting from extensive research agreements:

  • Australia-Vietnam Strategic Technology Centre (AVSTC): In collaboration with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Nokia, this is a leading research “Hub” on AI, 6G, and cybersecurity, supported by leading experts from Australia.
  • State-of-the-art 5G Lab with Huawei: The collaboration between PTIT and Huawei has provided a hands-on 5G telecommunications practice space, helping students master next-generation broadband connectivity technology.
  • Advanced Design Center for Telecommunications and Space: In collaboration with Temix Group (Italy), PTIT ventures into the promising field of space technology.

From Agreement to Action: Launching Specialized Centers

Born from a series of international collaborations, on December 19, 2025, the Academy officially launched the Specialized AI Training Center and the Specialized Semiconductor Microchip Training Center. These centers are not only places for learning but also “hands-on” environments with technology.
