On May 19, 2026, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) held a Letter of Intent (LOI) Exchange Ceremony with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) of Korea, opening up new directions for cooperation in technology research and development between the two sides in the coming period. The cooperation activities were facilitated with the connection and support of the National Academy for Advanced Technology and Innovation(NACENTECH), under the Ministry of Science and Technology.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dang The Ngoc – Acting Head and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Telecommunications 1, expressed his expectation that PTIT and ETRI would soon implement substantive joint research activities, particularly through the development of collaborative research proposals and science and technology projects under the Vietnam–Korea bilateral cooperation framework. According to Assoc. Prof. Dang The Ngoc, strengthening connections between research groups from both sides would provide an important foundation for promoting applied research aligned with practical demands and emerging technology trends.

Expressing ETRI’s interest in launching joint research projects with PTIT in the near future, Mr. Park Hyeongjun – Director of the Photonics & ICT Convergence Technology Research Division, Honam Region, ETRI, shared that ETRI currently offers funding support for collaborative research projects. He also emphasized the expectation that both sides would effectively leverage this resource to develop joint research programs.
