The School of Medicine, Tianjin University (China), is now accepting applications for the International Summer Research Camp 2026 under the theme “Intelligent Medicine & Medical-Engineering Integration.”
This is a 15-day intensive research program designed to provide students with opportunities to explore advanced trends in intelligent medicine and the integration of medicine and engineering. The entire program will be conducted in English, with guidance from international faculty members, experts, and academic staff from Tianjin University.
Established in 2018, the School of Medicine at Tianjin University has developed a strong interdisciplinary and innovation-oriented approach in medical education, with key strengths in Biomedical Engineering, Intelligent Medical Engineering, Clinical Medicine, Neuroscience, and Technology. The program highlights the university’s academic strengths in pioneering areas such as Brain–Computer Interface (BCI), regenerative medicine, precision diagnosis and treatment, while combining academic learning, research activities, clinical observation, and international cultural exchange.
The program is open to undergraduate and master’s students from developed countries in Europe, the Americas, and partner countries participating in the Belt & Road Initiative who are interested in interdisciplinary medical-engineering fields, particularly intelligent medicine.

Program Components
The program consists of four main components:
- Foundational orientation and introduction to intelligent medicine
- Exploration of core technologies and frontier research areas such as BCI, medical big data, AI, nanomedicine, and precision diagnosis and treatment
- Research training and clinical practice at laboratories and affiliated hospitals
- Final presentations, academic poster sessions, and cultural exchange activities in Tianjin
Program Fee
The program fee is 15,000 RMB per participant, including:
- Tuition fee
- On-campus accommodation
- Meals on campus
- Cultural activities
- Accident insurance
- Airport pick-up and drop-off services
The fee does not include international airfare, visa fees, or personal expenses. The program will only be organized if there are at least 30 registered participants.
