On February 26, 2025, in Hanoi, the Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) was successfully held.

Attending the ceremony on behalf of PTIT were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT; together with leaders of faculties, departments, and functional units. Representing Vietcombank were Mr. Hong Quang, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, and Director of the Human Resources Division; People’s Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Huu Thien, Director of the Vietcombank Training and Human Resources Development School; along with representatives of several Vietcombank units.

The cooperation agreement between PTIT and Vietcombank aims to jointly coordinate and implement activities in the fields of education and high-quality human resource development, leveraging each party’s strengths and capabilities to enhance operational effectiveness in alignment with the development strategies and orientations of both institutions.

According to the Memorandum of Agreement, PTIT and Vietcombank will collaborate in the following areas: training and education; scientific research; and student support activities, including scholarships, internship programs, and recruitment opportunities.

At the ceremony, on behalf of PTIT’s leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, warmly welcomed the Vietcombank delegation. He shared that PTIT is one of Vietnam’s leading institutions in ICT education and research, operating nine campuses across Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with a total enrollment of nearly 30,000 students across all academic levels. PTIT is also a pioneer in digital transformation, with several of its digital transformation solutions already transferred and implemented at many educational institutions nationwide. In addition, PTIT has developed interdisciplinary programs combining technology and economics, such as Financial Technology (FinTech), E-commerce, and Digital Marketing. He expressed his strong belief that the cooperation between the two institutions would bring about long-term, sustainable, and mutually beneficial outcomes.

Representing Vietcombank, Mr. Hong Quang, Member of the Board of Directors and Director of the Human Resources Division, noted that Vietcombank is currently Vietnam’s leading bank in terms of quality and operational efficiency. Vietcombank is accelerating its digital transformation, shifting from a traditional banking model to a digital banking model. In this process, strengthening cooperation with educational institutions to develop a workforce capable of adapting to digital transformation is regarded as a key pillar in Vietcombank’s strategy to become a leading digital bank.

He emphasized that PTIT is a reputable training institution in areas such as Information Security and Data Science, and notably the only institution with a dedicated Faculty of Artificial Intelligence—all of which are highly aligned with Vietcombank’s demand for high-quality technology talent.

Mr. Hong Quang expressed his confidence that the signing of the cooperation agreement between Vietcombank and PTIT would further strengthen bilateral relations and enable both parties to fully leverage their respective potentials and strengths across multiple areas, including banking products and services, education and training, scientific research, and particularly the training of high-quality ICT human resources, thereby contributing to the achievement of each institution’s development goals and to the overall socio-economic development of the country.

Within the framework of the ceremony, the two institutions also exchanged meaningful gifts. Notably, Vietcombank awarded scholarships totaling VND 200 million to PTIT students.
