On March 26, 2025, in the Republic of Austria, Mr. Le Quang Huy, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, together with a delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) led by Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong, witnessed the Signing Ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Authority of Information Technology Industry and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) with EV Group (EVG)—one of the world’s leading suppliers of equipment for semiconductor manufacturing.

Representing PTIT’s leadership, Dr. Tan Hanh, Vice President of PTIT, participated in the signing ceremony. According to the MoU, the cooperation focuses on three main pillars:
- Research and Development (R&D): Promoting R&D programs in key technologies such as nanofabrication, 3D packaging, and MEMS.
- Training and Capacity Building: Designing specialized training programs for students, engineers, and researchers to enhance technical expertise in the semiconductor field.
- Manufacturing and Testing Collaboration: Implementing practical projects aimed at bringing Vietnam closer to establishing a modern semiconductor manufacturing industry.
In his remarks at the event, Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized:
“The cooperation between EV Group, the Authority of Information Technology Industry, and PTIT not only contributes to strengthening Vietnam’s semiconductor industry capacity, but also delivers tangible value in education, research, and development, in line with the country’s long-term vision and sustainable development orientation.”
