On June 12, 2025, at the Hanoi campus, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) welcomed and held a working session with the leadership delegation of the KAIST Startup Institute, under the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) – one of the leading public universities in the Republic of Korea.
The delegation from KAIST Startup Institute was led by Prof. Hyeon Min Bae, Director of the Institute, and included faculty members of the KAIST Startup Institute, leaders of affiliated units, and representatives of Korean startup enterprises.
On the PTIT side, the meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT; along with leaders of relevant units, who jointly welcomed the delegation and discussed potential cooperation initiatives.
During the meeting, both sides introduced their respective strengths and expressed a strong desire to collaborate in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation. In particular, the KAIST Startup Institute showed interest in supporting startup enterprises in exploring the Southeast Asian market, including Vietnam, and in developing a shared market database that could be jointly utilized by startups to optimize resources.
PTIT also shared its needs and orientations in enhancing activities that support startup development and innovation within the Institute.

With many common goals in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, the two sides agreed to strengthen exchanges and discussions to design and implement joint cooperation programs, aiming to expand and enhance the effectiveness of startup and innovation support activities.
The working session between PTIT and the KAIST Startup Institute is of significant importance, opening up new cooperation opportunities in line with PTIT’s Development Strategy for the 2021–2025 period with a vision to 2030. Accordingly, PTIT strives to become a leading national and regional center of scientific research and innovation, to strengthen research activities closely linked with enterprises, expand international cooperation, develop networks of experts and strong research groups, and fulfill its role as a technology advisory and guiding institution in the fields of ICT and digital transformation in Vietnam.
PTIT has also been internationally recognized as the No. 1 university in Vietnam for innovation in 2024, according to SCImago Rankings.
