On September 4, 2025, the Vietnam-Italia Business Forum 2025 was held in Hanoi in coordination with the Italian Trade Promotion Agency (ITA), the Confederation of Italian Industry (Confindustria) and the Foreign Investment Agency – Ministry of Finance of Vietnam. Attending the Forum, on PTIT’s side, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President and leaders of relevant units.
At the Forum, PTIT delegation attended the Signing Ceremony, exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding with partners under the witness of leaders of relevant Ministries of Italy and Vietnam, attended parallel thematic discussions on high technology and innovation and attended bilateral business meetings (B2B) with organizations and enterprises. In particular, on the occasion of the ForumPTIT and Temix Group, an Italian private corporation with a strong international presence in the Satellite Communications, Defense and Aerospace industries, announced the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two parties on the establishment of an Advanced Design Center in Vietnam.
As a public university under the Ministry of Science and Technology, PTIT is the first university in Vietnam having enough capacity to meet the high requirements of low-altitude satellite equipment research. PTIT will provide the project with a dedicated structure within its campus, hosting the new center that will see the collaboration between experts from the Temix Group and a selected team of local professionals and researchers..
The Center hosted by PTIT is also in line with the national strategy of opening up breakthrough opportunities for the strong development of the science and technology sector, in which the list of major problems in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation has beenrecently announced by Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology, marking an important step in implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW and Resolution 71-NQ/TW of the Vietnamese Politburo and including the focus on the research, production and fabrication of low-orbit satellites. This evolution represents the natural development of the multi-year collaboration between Temix and PTIT, active in the field of University education through support programs for degree courses in telecommunications engineering. This partnership included the funding of scholarships reserved for Vietnamese students for periods of advanced training at the University of Catania, with which both institutions maintain academic cooperation relations.
The center will have as its primary mission the enhancement of the Temix Group’s research and design capabilities in the field of telecommunications and aerospace systems. It will offer advanced multidisciplinary design services aimed at institutional and industrial clients in the Asian and Middle Eastern markets, integrating excellent technological skills.
The initiative is part of the broader industrial consolidation program that Temix has been developing for several years in Vietnam, based on strategic partnerships with research institutions, universities and public and private operators in the area. With technological roots dating back to the 90s and an operational presence in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, the Group thus confirms its commitment to the development of high value-added technological ecosystems.
Institutional statements

“The collaboration with Temix consolidates technology transfer and creates new professional opportunities for our researchers, strengthening Vietnam’s positioning in the global space industry,” added Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT.
PTIT’s cooperation with Temix helps promote technology transfer and create new career opportunities for the research team, while enhancing Vietnam’s position in the global space industry.
