Continuing the activities in the state visit program to Vietnam, on the morning of April 15 in Hanoi, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and President Luong Cuong attended the Vietnam – China People’s Friendship Meeting, the launching ceremony of “Red Journey: Youth Research and Study”, the launching ceremony of the Vietnam – China Railway Cooperation Mechanism and visited the Photo Exhibition of 75 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China. Also attending the program were many leaders of the Party, State, ministries, branches, localities and more than 350 delegates of friendship personalities, students and young generations of Vietnam and China. Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, who was awarded a PhD degree from Tsinghua University, attended the program.

At the program, the delegates expressed their honor to attend the exchange and affirmed that they always wanted to contribute to preserving the relationship between the two neighboring countries with a long-standing tradition of friendship, and vowed to inherit the tradition of friendship, bringing strong vitality and a bright future to the Vietnam-China relationship.

The Party and State of Vietnam attach importance to promoting the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, the Vietnam – China Community of Shared Future, which has a strategic significance to firmly enter a new era of development, for the happiness of the people of the two countries, for the cause of peace and progress of mankind. Representing generations of Vietnamese students who have studied and researched in China, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, shared: “I have spent years studying and growing up at Tsinghua University, a prestigious university, where I not only acquired modern knowledge but also nurtured my spirit, constantly striving to improve myself and take ethics and responsibility to serve society, I always strive to contribute to the Vietnam-China friendship. Currently, Vietnam is strongly implementing Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo to realize this resolution, we wish to implement programs to exchange cadres, lecturers and students between the two countries to train high-quality human resources, the core force for successful digital transformation as Resolution 57 emphasized”.

On this occasion, the two sides announced the launch of the project “Red Journey: Research and study of youth”. Accordingly, agencies and organizations of the two countries will coordinate to effectively promote historical revolutionary relics in Vietnam and China, associated with the revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh and the revolutionary predecessors of the two countries, to propagate and educate, making the young generations of the two countries have a deeper understanding of the revolutionary journey of mutual assistance between Vietnam and China, thereby raising awareness of the traditional friendship and the important significance of the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries.
