On August 15, 2024, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) hosted the Vietnam Climate Tech Investment Platform Networking Event. The event was organized in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, VMO Holdings, and New Energy Nexus Vietnam. It brought together a dynamic ecosystem of 100 climate tech startups, investors, and industry experts to foster the growth of Vietnam’s climate tech sector.
The event provided a platform for Vietnamese climate tech startups to showcase their innovative ideas and connect with potential investors. It also promoted collaboration, knowledge exchange, and investment opportunities within the climate tech community. By cultivating a vibrant ecosystem, the event contributed to Vietnam’s transition to a low-carbon economy and enhanced its capacity to adapt to and recover from the impacts of climate change.
Additionally, the event marked a key milestone for the Climate Change Entrepreneurship Hub (CCE Hub) in Vietnam, the first of its kind in Asia and the second globally, operated by VMO and PTIT. The CCE Hub is a global initiative designed to promote climate innovation in developing economies. It is coordinated by the U.S. Department of State in collaboration with academic institutions, investors, nonprofits, and corporations, aiming to support climate-focused startups and enhance sustainable investment.
The CCE Hub Vietnam is located at PTIT and was officially launched in September 2023.
