On April 22, 2026, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), aiming to promote the development of technical and industrial human resources between Vietnam and South Korea.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, and Mr. Lee Sang Bok, Vice Chairman of KCCI. The cooperation focuses on implementing training programs, as well as the selection and development of human resources in fields such as electrical engineering, electronics, semiconductors, and industrial technologies, meeting the demands of Korean enterprises.

Introducing the cooperation program, Mr. Lee Sang Bok stated that KCCI currently represents more than 180,000 Korean enterprises and is implementing initiatives to promote technology workforce exchange with Vietnam. It is expected that approximately 120 engineers will be selected and trained from four educational institutions, including PTIT. The program will initially focus on semiconductor design and will gradually expand to other fields such as biotechnology.

Further discussing at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac highlighted that PTIT, as a dynamic and innovative university, has piloted semiconductor-related facilities and is committed to working closely with KCCI to develop specialized training programs that combine technical knowledge with professional skills and Korean workplace culture.

According to the plan, the program will cover a full cycle of activities, from curriculum development and candidate selection to training implementation and job placement support. Each year, approximately 30 high-quality engineers are expected to be trained, with opportunities to work in South Korea under the E-7-1 visa scheme, offering international career prospects with competitive income.

At the end of the program, the KCCI delegation visited PTIT’s facilities, including a campus tour and technology laboratories, particularly those related to semiconductor research. The visit provided KCCI with a clearer understanding of PTIT’s training and research capabilities.
