Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) has recently been notified by Quebec University about the selection of two PTIT students for the SEED scholarship program funded by the Canadian Government. Student Ngô Thị Hồng Nhung and graduate student Nguyễn Thị Lan Phương have been awarded scholarships worth CAD 10,200 each to participate in a research exchange at the IoT and Cloud Computing Lab at Quebec University, Canada, from August 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. The scholarship will cover all expenses, including round-trip airfare, insurance, accommodation, living expenses, daily transportation, and necessary study materials for the four-month period in Canada.
The SEED Scholarship (Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development) is a Canadian Government initiative aimed at Southeast Asian students who wish to undertake short-term academic and research experiences in Canada. The program is facilitated through collaborations with educational institutions and student exchange agreements between Canadian universities and Southeast Asian universities.
PTIT has recently signed a cooperation agreement with Quebec University, particularly with the École de technologie supérieure (ETS), focusing on training, faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and organizing international conferences and seminars. In 2023, ETS and PTIT collaborated on several initiatives, including participation in the RIVF’23 conference hosted by PTIT, co-authoring research papers on 6G technology development, and conducting joint research at PTIT’s advanced systems connection lab.
By building and expanding partnerships with leading universities worldwide, PTIT continues to offer its students valuable opportunities to engage in advanced academic programs, experience modern education, and develop in a global academic environment. In the near future, PTIT will launch several international exchange programs for students, including fully-funded internships at Briese (Germany), Temix Technology (Italy), the Sakura Science Scholarship Program (Japan), and international competitions in Australia and the United States.
