In 2025, PTIT not only saw an explosion in collaborations but also became a destination for leading global experts. From professors at prestigious universities to leaders of “unicorn” technology corporations, last year’s Keynote Speakers provided insightful perspectives, opening up a global mindset for the students.

  • Professor Leslie Gabriel Valiant – Professor T. Jefferson Coolidge of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard University – a living legend in the world of computer science, a recipient of the Turing Award (considered the Nobel Prize of Informatics). In his talk at PTIT, Professor Leslie Valiant left a deep impression when explaining Educability – the ability to be educated. He emphasized that in a world where AI can learn very quickly, the ability to “learn how to learn” and a solid mathematical foundation are what make PTIT students different and irreplaceable.

  • Professor Mark Harvey – University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia

Topic: “The Future of 6G Networks and the Era of the Internet of Things” As one of the most important speakers at the Australia-Vietnam Strategic Technology Forum, Professor Mark Harvey presented the development roadmap of next-generation wireless networks. His talk was not only purely technical but also guided PTIT students on how to seize opportunities in the digital economy shifting to 6G infrastructure.

The Australia-Vietnam Strategic Technology Forum “Connecting Technologies for the Future” featured talks revolving around 5 strategic technology pillars:

  • 5G/6G & Telecommunications Resilience: Sustainability and Practical Applications.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI governance and applications in digital transformation.
  • Cybersecurity: International cybersecurity.
  • Quantum Technology: Quantum technology for the future.
  • Edge Computing: Mobile edge computing.
  1. Mr. Daren Tang – Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)

Event: “High-Level Roundtable on Innovation and Intellectual Property in the Digital Age”

This is an iconic event, attracting the attention of the entire technology and education community. Main message: In his deliver talk at PTIT, Mr. Daren Tang emphasized: “Intellectual property is not just a legal issue, but the fuel for the engine of innovation.” He highly appreciated PTIT’s startup ecosystem model and encouraged students to boldly protect their technological ideas while still in university.

  1. Prof. Na Jeong Sik – International expert on blockchain technology (Korea) – Seminar “Blockchain and Applications”

Professor Na provided a broad and insightful perspective on how AI brings about groundbreaking advancements but also poses many challenges: bias, lack of transparency, and difficulty in determining accountability. To make AI truly “provable,” he proposed combining AI with blockchain technology – a “trust infrastructure” capable of recording data transparently, immutably, and decentralized.

Professor Na also shared useful information about Korea’s efforts to integrate these two technologies based on seven pillars of digital security, with cybersecurity at its core. Blockchain is likened to a “surveillance camera” of the digital space, recording all access and changes in the form of uneditable logs, helping to strengthen trust and independently monitor AI systems – the foundation for building smart cities in the future.

  1. Prof. Vincent Wong, a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada, is an IEEE Fellow and a world-leading expert in wireless networks, IoT, and smart energy systems. He is also a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Communications Association. His topic was: “Machine Learning for Resource Management in 6G Wireless Networks.”

The Impact of the Talks

The presence of this international panel of speakers brought intangible but immense value:

  • Technology Updates: Students gained access to the latest knowledge before it appeared in the curriculum.
  • Inspiration: Success stories from experts helped students gain more confidence when stepping onto the international stage.
  • Networking Opportunities: Many students found internship and scholarship opportunities through direct discussions with the speakers after each talk.

By 2025, PTIT’s lecture halls will have truly become a “Hub” bringing together the best of international knowledge. The continuous invitation of world-class speakers for exchange programs affirms PTIT’s efforts to bridge the gap between university education and the demands of the global labor market.
