On December 5, 2024, in Hanoi, Posts and Telecommunications Technology (PTIT) in collaboration with VinFuture Foundation organized a techtalk on the topic: “AI Companion 2.0: Zoom Platform Oriented with Artificial Intelligence”. The program was attended by Dr. Xuedong Huang, Chief Technology Officer of Zoom (USA), one of the world’s leading researchers in speech recognition, language processing and machine translation of presentations. On PTIT’s side, there were Associate Professor Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President, representatives of the Leaders of Faculties, Departments, and functional departments, and a large number of lecturers and students.
Speaking at the event, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT affirmed: “In the trend of AI technology being increasingly interested and focused on, PTIT has always wanted to bring many opportunities for teachers and students to be equipped with more knowledge and skills to keep up with technology trends and have more career opportunities. Therefore, today’s event, with the support of experts, is an important event, contributing significantly to the school’s common goal in the Science, Technology and Innovation Development Strategy for PTIT for the period 2021-2025 and vision to 2030”. Sharing with lecturers and students of PTIT on the topic “AI Companion 2.0: Zoom platform oriented towards artificial intelligence” Dr. Xuedong Huang, CTO of Zoom said “As artificial intelligence (AI) technology rapidly advances, Zoom is transforming from a video conferencing company to an AI-driven workplace platform with the launch of AI Companion 2.0. We explore how AI Companion 2.0 redefines the future of work by integrating generative AI capabilities to enhance productivity. This transformation enables users to seamlessly manage work, optimize workflows, and achieve greater efficiency throughout the workday.”
Prior to the techtalk, during the reception of the delegation from VinFuture Foundation, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, on behalf of PTIT’s leadership, expressed his thanks to the delegation from VinFuture Foundation and expressed a hope that the meeting would be a premise to open up new cooperation opportunities, contributing to improving the quality of training and research in the field of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence at PTIT.
