From October 15 to 21, 2023, a group of 9 graduate students and undergraduate students from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) who won Sakura Science scholarships participated in the Sakura scholarship program in Japan.

At Gunma University, in Gunma Province, Japan, the group of PTIT students and trainees had time to study and experience assembling and controlling robots; Exchanging culinary culture with Japanese students at Professor Yamada Kou’s lab. Along with that, the group also visited famous places with many local landmarks.

The Sakura Scholarship Program is within the framework of cooperation PTIT and Gunma University. The program has provided students with additional knowledge about assembling and programming robots, giving students the opportunity to interact and experience the Japanese environment and culture. In addition, the cooperation program also contributes to increasing the friendship between the two schools in particular, as well as between Vietnam and Japan in general.

Launched in February 2023, the program is for 3rd-4th year students (priority is given to Engineering majors: Electronic Engineering, Automation, Electronics and Telecommunications, Information Technology,…) of PTIT, with good academic performance, in-depth knowledge and ability in microcontroller programming, robot programming and automation control theory. Priority will be given to students who have experience participating in electronic design competitions, have the ability to communicate in English, and have good Japanese communication skills.

This is the first successful student exchange course, promising that in the coming school years, the cooperation of the two universities will continue to organize exchange and study scholarship programs, giving wings to dreams.
