On October 8, 2025, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) hosted a reception and working session with a delegation from Boise State University (the U.S.A.), led by Professor Nancy K. Napier. The meeting aimed to discuss opportunities for comprehensive cooperation in training, scientific research, entrepreneurship, and innovation, combined with networking activities with universities and businesses in Boise.

The Boise State University delegation included Professor Nancy K. Napier, Director of the Center for Innovation Research and Consulting; Professor Brian O’Morrow, Senior Director of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program; Professor Timothy Dunne, Head of the Executive MBA Program; Professor David Hunt, Head of the Department of Marketing; and Professor Liam Maher, Professor in the Department of Management.

Representing PTIT, the meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT, along with leaders from the Institute’s functional departments.

In an atmosphere of open exchange and cooperation, the two sides discussed many potential areas for collaboration in training and research. Discussions focused on implementing Boise State University’s Executive MBA (EMBA) program in Vietnam, developing joint programs in management, business, and marketing, and promoting academic exchange programs in engineering and technology. Furthermore, both parties expressed a desire to enhance cooperation in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation, and to strengthen connections between universities and businesses in Boise (the U.S.A).

Speaking at the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Boise State University delegation. He affirmed that the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology always values and proactively expands cooperation with reputable international partners in training, research, and knowledge transfer. The Vice President emphasized that the topics discussed will serve as a crucial foundation for both sides to materialize into practical cooperation programs and projects, offering development opportunities for the Institute’s faculty, researchers, and students.

Professor Nancy K. Napier is an internationally reputable scholar and educator in management, innovation, and leadership development. She currently holds the title of Distinguished Professor Emerita at Boise State University. Professor Napier is an author, speaker, and executive consultant highly regarded by international academia and the business community. She is also one of the co-founders of the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Program at Boise State University. Prof. Nancy Napier was awarded the Medal of Friendship by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for her significant contributions to Vietnam’s economic and educational development over more than two decades.

The working session between the Institute and the Boise State University delegation has opened prospects for extensive cooperation in international training, interdisciplinary research, and innovation development. Both sides agreed to continue exchanges and formalize the cooperation agreement in the near future, aiming to implement highly applied learning and research programs that contribute to the development of high-quality human resources in the digital era.

This event reaffirms the role of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology as one of Vietnam’s leading educational institutions in information technology, communications, and management, proactively expanding its international cooperation network to enhance the quality of training, research, and global integration.
