On November 19, in Algeria, within the framework of the official visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Science and Technology – Houari Boumediene (USTHB).

The signing ceremony took place under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, and high-ranking delegations from both countries.

Leading PTIT’s delegation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President, attended the program and signed the cooperation document with the USTHB representative. This is a significant event, marking a new milestone in PTIT’s international cooperation with leading educational institutions in North Africa.

According to the signed MOU, both parties agreed to promote cooperation in various fields, including: Implementing joint research projects on ICT, digital technology, and engineering; Exchanging lecturers, scientists, and students; Developing training programs, workshops, seminars, and academic-cultural exchange initiatives; Strengthening connections between research units, laboratories, and professional groups of both universities.

The MOU creates a sustainable foundation for long-term cooperation programs, contributing to enhancing training and research capacity as well as expanding PTIT’s international partnership network.

The signing ceremony between PTIT and USTHB was one of the key documents within the Vietnam-Algeria bilateral cooperation program witnessed by the Prime Ministers of both nations. This event not only opens up new development opportunities for the Institute but also contributes to deepening the traditional friendship between the two countries. The selection of PTIT to sign at this government-level event demonstrates the PTIT’s position and prestige as a key national educational institution in engineering and technology, while affirming its role in training high-quality ICT human resources for Vietnam and the region.

In the coming time, PTIT will coordinate closely with USTHB to promptly implement specific activities under the MOU, particularly student exchange programs, joint research projects, and academic development in the fields of ICT, digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and telecommunications.
