PTIT and Aalto University (Finland) cooperate to implement MBA training courses on leadership and management. This is one of the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and Aalto University signed on September 23 in Finland.

Witnessing the signing ceremony of the Letter of Intent for cooperation between PTIT and Aalto were Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung; Mr. Hoang Huu Hanh, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Information and Communications; On the side of PTIT, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President and representatives of the functional units of the university. Welcoming the delegation of the Ministry of Information and Communications, on the side of Alto University, there were Prof. Hanu Seristo, Associate Vice President and Prof. Jyri Hamalainen, Vice President in charge of Research.

According to the signed content, the two parties will cooperate in implementing training programs and developing leadership and management capacity. Accordingly, Aalto cooperates with PTIT to provide senior leadership training programs (Executive MBA or short courses) for managers and leaders in the information technology and telecommunications industry in Vietnam. These programs focus on strategic management skills, innovation, digital governance, and leadership in the digital transformation period. Aalto also supports PTIT in consulting on training programs; consulting on operational roadmaps and developing and implementing joint training programs.

At the same time, Aalto and PTIT will develop technology expert training programs through in-depth training courses for technical staff of the Ministry and its affiliated units, aiming to improve professional capacity in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, cybersecurity, and Big Data management.

The cooperation agreement also includes cooperation activities in research and technology development: PTIT and Aalto University can cooperate in building innovation and research centers in Vietnam, to promote the development of new technology solutions in the fields of digital media, digital journalism, and digital content. Aalto University and PTIT will also cooperate in developing the startup and innovation ecosystem. PTIT will cooperate with Aalto to organize startup competitions in information and communication technology, with the aim of finding and supporting potential technology projects from Vietnam. At the same time, Aalto University will support PTIT in developing an online learning platform and applying educational technology by building an online learning and e-learning system, helping to improve access to education for students and staff in the field of information and communication technology, including the development of digital learning content, e-learning platforms and modern educational technology applications.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung highly appreciated the MBA training program on leadership and management that the two sides cooperated to implement. This will be the first high-level training program in Vietnam, combining the most advanced leadership and management thinking in the world and Eastern philosophy, creating a unique feature of a specialized training program for Vietnamese leaders.

Also within the framework of the working trip, the President of PTIT also accompanied Minister Nguyen Manh Hung to visit and work with Nokia Corporation.
