On February 10, 2025, in Hanoi, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology held the opening ceremony of the training course on management and operation of the National SOC information security monitoring and operation system for the delegation of the Department of Cyber Security, Ministry of Information and Communications of Laos. Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT, representatives of the leaders of the units, departments of PTIT and Lao officials.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT welcomed the students who are officials from Laos and wished the academies to complete the course content well and have valuable experiences in Vietnam.
The course will take place from February 10, 2025 to February 14, 2025, focusing on the topics of Information Security Event Management (SIEM); Network Intrusion Prevention System (NIPS); Network Access Control (NAC).

Previously, on January 11, 2023, within the framework of the official visit to the Lao PDR by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Minister of Information and Communications of Vietnam Nguyen Manh Hung and Minister of Information and Communications of Laos Boviengkham Vongdara signed the Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Lao PDR on digital partnership. This is an activity to continue implementing the Agreement on digital partnership between the two governments. The Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam organized a training course on management and operation of the National Cyber Security Monitoring and Operation System SOC for officers of the Department of Cyber Security, Ministry of Information and Communications of Laos. The course follows a successful one held in Laos in January 2025.
