On November 25, 2025, in Korea, representatives of the Leadership of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) participated in the Launch Ceremony of the Global Virtual Convergence University Network, organized by Chung-Ang University.

The event marks a significant milestone in the formation of a cross-border convergence education ecosystem based on advanced technology platforms such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Extended Reality (XR).
The launch ceremony was attended by high-ranking figures: President of Chung-Ang University Park Kwang-yong, members of the Korean National Assembly, and representatives from the Korean Ministry of Education. Notably, the event brought together leading technology and arts universities from around the world. In addition to the Institute (PTIT), the network includes Chiang Mai University (Thailand), Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia), Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (Hungary), and Salimbekov University (Kyrgyzstan).
In his congratulatory speech, Korean Prime Minister Kim Min-seok emphasized the integration of industry and technology, arts, and humanities into education. He affirmed that the Government is constantly striving to support innovation in universities and global cooperation policies to nurture talent.

At the conference, Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien – Vice President of the Institute – representing PTIT, presented a paper titled: “Global Training in Games & Multimedia and Virtual Reality.” The presentation was highly appreciated by partners, affirming the PTIT”s professional capacity and vision in cutting-edge technological fields.
Joining the Network is a breakthrough step that helps PTIT students and lecturers access pioneering educational technologies such as AI and XR. Through joint training programs and international credit recognition mechanisms, learners will benefit from global knowledge, removing geographical barriers and expanding opportunities for academic exchange and research with prestigious partners.
This event continues to affirm the PTIT”s pioneering position in proactively embracing new technology trends. This is a solid foundation for PTIT to achieve its goal of becoming a leading regional training and research center, committed to providing a high-quality workforce ready for the context of globalization.
