A delegation of faculty members from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) has successfully completed the training program under the “ASEAN-India IT Training Support” initiative at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), India. Spanning from from August 2024 to February 2025, the program aimed to enhance professional capabilities in the fields of big data analytics, information technology, and system security.

The participants undertook three specialized diploma programs: Post Graduate Diploma in Big Data Analytics (PG-DBDA); Post Graduate Diploma in IT Infrastructure, Systems & Security (PG-DITISS); Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing (PG-DAC). These programs provided participants with not only advanced knowledge but also exposure to the latest technological developments, thus strengthening their teaching and research contributions at PTIT.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, honored their efforts and achievements throughout the training program. He highlighted their adaptability to cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches to curriculum development, which received high commendation from CDAC.

PTIT prioritizes fostering a spirit of continuous learning and innovation among its faculty and students, recognizing these as essential elements for the sustainable development of high-quality programs. The recognition of these accomplishments is a significant motivator for faculty and students to strive for excellence in education and research in a rapidly evolving academic environment.

In alignment with its vision for growth, PTIT intends to leverage advanced technologies into teaching methods, expand e-learning initiatives, and integrate globally recognized IT certifications aligned with industry trends. These efforts will facilitate students’ access to international qualifications and equip them with competitive skills for the global human resources.

The “ASEAN-India IT Training Support” project, supported by the Government of India, aims to develop a highly skilled IT workforce across ASEAN member nations, with Vietnam identified as a key participant. The project is implemented by C-DAC under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, India.

In Vietnam, PTIT is the sole institution authorized to implement this initiative, as directed by the Ministry of Information and Communications. Under this framework, PTIT has established the Center for Excellence Software raining and Development (CESDT), funded by C-DAC, to promote advanced training programs.

This accomplishment builds upon the success of earlier milestones, notably the completion of the Master Trainer certification by five PTIT faculty members in 2023. This earlier training enhanced professional competencies and contributed to curriculum innovation at PTIT, ensuring faculty and students remain equipped with advanced knowledge and skills to address the growing demands of the IT sector.
