Recently, in Seoul (Korea), a delegation from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) led by Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hoai Bac -President- visited and worked with Seoul Cyber University (SCU). Receiving the delegation were Professor Lee Eun Joo – President of SCU and leaders of relevant departments and faculties. At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hoai Bac expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome of SCU leaders and lecturers, and highly appreciated the cooperation results achieved by the two sides in the past time, especially in joint training activities and academic exchanges. The President of PTIT proposed to expand cooperation through implementing a 2+2 joint training program, co-developing digital learning materials, as well as programs to improve the capacity of the teaching staff, meeting the needs of training high-quality human resources in the field of digital technology.

An important highlight of the meeting was PTIT’s proposal for SCU to chair the establishment of a “Global Digital University Alliance”. This alliance will be a network connecting prestigious digital universities in the world, aiming to share academic resources, build common online training platforms, and implement borderless higher education programs. PTIT affirmed that the university will participate as a founding member, contributing resources and ideas to realize this vision.

This initiative is expected to contribute to realizing the direction of the Prime Minister of Vietnam on developing a digital university model – a strategic solution to help expand learning opportunities, reduce geographical distance and enhance international educational integration.

At the end of the meeting, the leaders of SCU and PTIT agreed to continue maintaining a regular exchange mechanism and establish a joint working group to promote the implementation of cooperation contents. The two sides expect the cooperation results to bring practical benefits to learners, enhancing the position of each school in the regional and international higher education system.

Previously, in August 2024, the SCU – PTIT Joint Training Office located at Seoul Cyber University was opened, marking a new step forward in bilateral cooperation. Currently, the two universities are enrolling in joint undergraduate training courses for Vietnamese students studying and working in Korea, opening up flexible, international-quality learning opportunities for the Vietnamese community here.
