From January 5th to January 10th, a significant milestone in international academic and technological cooperation was established as the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) officially launched the “Attractive Vietnam Ecotourism 2026”.

Orchestrated through PTIT’s Virtual Convergence Cooperation Board and the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, this initiative marks the beginning of a profound strategic partnership with Chung-Ang University (CAU), one of Korea’s premier institutions renowned globally for its leadership in the fields of arts, media, and creative technology. This collaboration represents a forward-thinking convergence of Vietnam’s technical prowess and Korea’s advanced content creation capabilities, aimed at revolutionizing how tourism and heritage are experienced.

The core mission of this ambitious project is to produce high-quality immersive media content, specifically utilizing Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Extended Reality (XR). By leveraging these cutting-edge technologies, the project seeks to digitize and bring to life Vietnam’s unique cultural heritage, bustling urban landscapes, and distinctive ecotourism destinations. However, the initiative extends far beyond mere technological application; it serves as a vital educational platform. It offers PTIT students a rare and valuable opportunity to engage directly with international-standard digital content production processes. Through this cross-border exchange, Vietnamese students are able to work side-by-side with leading experts and peers from South Korea, facilitating a transfer of knowledge and skills that is crucial for the development of Vietnam’s future digital workforce.

To bring this vision to reality, a joint working group comprising distinguished lecturers, industry experts, and talented students from both universities has been deployed to conduct extensive data collection and product development. Their itinerary covers a diverse array of Vietnam’s most iconic landmarks, ensuring a comprehensive representation of the country’s beauty. The team is capturing the essence of the capital city of Hanoi, the breathtaking natural landscapes of Ninh Binh, the misty mountainous terrain of Sapa in Lao Cai, the spiritual heritage of the Hung Temple in Phu Tho, and the ecological diversity of Tam Dao in Vinh Phuc. The content creation is meticulously structured around four central themes—Hanoi, Nature, Buddhism, and National Parks—to ensure a multifaceted portrayal of the nation.

Ultimately, the “Attractive Vietnam Ecotourism 2026” project aspires to deliver a suite of impressive digital technology products that will serve as a new medium for national promotion. By showcasing the country through the innovative and interactive lens of virtual reality technology, the collaboration aims to project a modern, dynamic, and inviting image of Vietnam to the world, proving that the country’s rich history and natural beauty can be seamlessly integrated with the digital future.
