From May 12 to May 14, 2025, at Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) Hanoi Campus, the “PTIT-CAU Joint Hackathon 2025” competition was organised with the cooperation between PTIT and Chung Ang University (CAU-Korea), with the participation from professors and students from CAU and PTIT and supports from faculties, departments, and functional departments of both universities.
“PTIT-CAU Joint Hackathon 2025″ was organized with the theme “Start-up and cooperation in the field of digital communication and immersive media (VR/AR/Metaverse, games, animation, video …), aiming at inspiring creativity and a playground for startup ideas in the student community passionate about the fields of Games and Multimedia Technology. The competition also creates a bridge for academic exchange, knowledge exchange and valuable experience between Vietnamese and Korean students. Promising technology ideas and products have been conceived and developed under the dedicated guidance of leading experts from prestigious enterprises of both countries.

With the supports from mentors from the Institute for Information Technology and Communications of PTIT (CDIT), key partners in game industry such as Falcon Game Studio, XGame Studio, Big Bear Studio, 20 students PTIT and CAU formed into 5 teams (each consisting of 4 members, with a combination of 2 PTIT students and 2 CAU students) focused on building a business idea for a product in the fields of VR/AR/Metaverse, games, animation, short videos… and deployed the idead into a product in the form of a prototype. Team presentations followed with the sharing and reviewing by judges including representatives from PTIT, CAU and Vietnam Cultural Hertitage Fund.
The competition is a great success, contributing to the cooperation between the two universities and a prestigious academic playground which promotes the spirit of innovation and international cooperation in the field of Games and Multimedia Technology with great potentials.
