On May 30, 2025, within the framework of the Vietnam Digital Transformation Day in Tokyo-Japan 2025 (VADX 2025), Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and Chubu University (Japan) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung. Accordingly, the two sides will cooperate in exchanging lecturers and students; exchanging information, documents, and learning materials of mutual interest; establishing joint research groups; co-organizing professional and academic conferences and seminars as well as other events.

The delegation of PTIT led by Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President, also attended the working session of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung with Vietnamese scientists in Japan to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of Science, Technology, Innovation and National Digital Transformation” organized by the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan.

At the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized the desire to promote close cooperation between Governments, Research Institutes, Universities and Business Groups to develop core technologies and train high-quality human resources in strategic sectors such as semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and green transformation.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the development of specific plans for training and developing human resources in the above fields, as well as new fields such as low-earth satellites, is very important and needs to be implemented according to a long-term strategy. He also highlighted In particular, he emphasized the role of building a culture of learning Japanese language, in order to promote the effective transfer of technology and human resources between Vietnam and Japan in the future.

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung shared that in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation, Japan is currently tending to restore its leading position in the world through new strategies. This is an important opportunity for Vietnam to cooperate with Japan in training and building a system to develop high-quality human resources, serving both countries.
