Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, briefly reported on some typical performance results and development orientation of PTIT

During the 28 years since its establishment, carrying out the mission of Research – Training and transferring knowledge to society, PTIT has always strived to innovate and pioneer in piloting new operating mechanisms, training new professions to meet social needs and focusing on research and application of new technologies associated with the problems of businesses and society. Currently, PTIT is a leading university in digital transformation of higher education, has built a digital transformation architecture with a complete digital university ecosystem, all management activities, student support services are carried out on mobile applications with a single “touch point”. The rate of good and excellent graduates is over 80% and nearly 100% of graduates have jobs. PTIT’s students have won many international and national awards such as: First prize in the national World Graphics Competition; First prize in the Asia-Pacific region of the Tech4Good competition (Huawei); National First Prize of the Intel® AI Global Impact Festival in 2024… Most recently, in early April 2025, the team participating in the National Student Math Olympiad won the overall first prize, including 6 Gold medals…

The Prime Minister requested that PTIT should thoroughly grasp the spirit of “faster, even faster, bolder, even bolder”; science and technology have no limits, no borders.

Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the achievements and results of the school over the years, PTIT has increasingly developed and grown with the country, with the trend of the times, and the maturity of the staff.

The Prime Minister pointed out some main features in the current world context, that is: the trend of peace, cooperation and development is still the main flow of the times, science and technology, innovation and creativity are the major trends of the world, so the school must also follow this flow and trend, must increase its speed. The Prime Minister said that in the trend of integration, no single country can solve global problems alone, including the great powers.

Therefore, according to the Prime Minister, in the current situation, countries need to promote multilateralism and the spirit of international solidarity; always take people as the center, the subject, both the resource and the driving force for development; develop quickly but sustainably; do not sacrifice progress and social and environmental justice to pursue purely economic growth.

In that spirit, for PTIT, the Prime Minister requested “5 pioneers”: pioneering in connecting State-university-scientists-businesses and investors; pioneering in innovation, digital transformation, scientific research; pioneering in nurturing talents and building unicorns; pioneering in autonomy and commercialization of products; pioneering in daring to think, daring to do, daring to overcome one’s own limits. The Prime Minister requested that PTIT should thoroughly grasp the spirit of “faster, even faster, bolder, even bolder”; science and technology have no limits, no borders.

The Prime Minister noted that to do so, PTIT must have the fulcrum of solidarity and unity, “first call, then support, one calls, all respond, top and bottom are in agreement, across the board”; the fulcrum of valuing time, intelligence and timely and timely decision-making; building the school as the foundation, teachers as the driving force, students as the center. Teachers must create motivation and inspiration for students.

All activities of the university must be directed towards students, creating opportunities for students, creating opportunities for them to contribute to the development of the school; linking study and work; contributing to “turning the situation around, changing the state” of the country in terms of strategic infrastructure, especially digital transformation infrastructure, high-quality human resources; developing the digital economy, digital society and digital citizens.

Commenting on some recommendations and proposals of PTIT, the Prime Minister emphasized that the scientific spirit is methodical, professional and must have a roadmap; emphasizing that ministries and branches should only focus on state management, building institutions, mechanisms and policies for rapid and sustainable development, building mechanisms to mobilize resources for development; leading and directing rapid and sustainable development; designing tools for inspection, life to urge implementation, and orienting the tasks of the sector. The Prime Minister noted that ministries and branches should not get caught up in specific matters. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh wrote in the guestbook at PTIT with his feelings and expectations: “Congratulations, welcome, and admiration for PTIT. I hope and believe that you will be highly determined, make great efforts, and take drastic actions in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. With the spirit of taking the university as the foundation, teachers as the driving force, students as the center, the subject, the driving force, and the resource to develop PTIT quickly and sustainably.”
