The exchanges during the working trip between PTIT and NUS on this occasion opened up many meaningful cooperation potentials that are in line with the development orientation of both universities, and will contribute to strengthening and supporting cooperation programs between PTIT and Singaporean partners.
NUS was the first university established in Singapore in 1905, as a public autonomous university, and is a comprehensive research university with various majors. NUS is considered one of the most prestigious universities in Singapore and Asia in general, with a wide network of partners. In February 2025, PTIT held a ceremony to announce the Resolution to establish and launch the Vietnam Institute of Leadership, Governance and Management (VLGM), with the mission of “Developing and transferring knowledge on leadership, management, and governance with Vietnamese characteristics to meet the development of Vietnamese enterprises and organizations in the new era of the nation”, a research unit, gathering knowledge systems on leadership, governance, and management based on the accumulated knowledge of humanity and developing unique leadership knowledge, bearing the identity of Vietnamese culture and people. The main training programs of VLGM include Master/PhD programs, certificate training programs, training programs for leaders and managers at all levels and courses for university students to meet the continuous development needs of leaders and managers in many different fields, from technology, business to state management. To date, VLGM has received support and cooperation from many famous organizations and scholars abroad, including the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Administration (NUS). Therefore, in order to prepare for the training program design plan, the Institute and its partners and Singaporean experts need to actively exchange to realize the planned activities.
