On 06/27/2025, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and Macquarie University officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking an important step forward in the strategic partnership between the two universities.
Attending the Ceremony, on PTIT’s side there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President, and representatives of the leaders of faculties, departments, and functional offices. On the Macquarie’s side, there were Professor Sakkie Pretorius, Vice-Chancellor in charge of Research, Mr. Matt Monkhouse, Regional Director of Southeast Asia and Eurasia, Ms. Bui Hong Hanh, Senior Country Director, Southeast Asia and representatives of Austrade and SET Education.
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT and Professor Sakkie Pretorius, Vice-Chancellor in charge of Research, Macquarie University signed a cooperation agreement.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the two sides agreed to carry out many meaningful cooperative activities: such as student-lecturer exchange, joint research, organizing seminars, scientific conferences, sharing learning materials and academic resources. In particular, the two sides will cooperate to implement the Transfer Program for students majoring in Information Technology and Multimedia Communications.
At the Ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT expressed: “I believe that, with a solid foundation of cooperation, the relationship between PTIT and Macquarie will continue to develop effectively, bringing many practical international study and research opportunities for students and lecturers from both sides”.
Professor Sakkie Pretorius, Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Research at Macquarie University, hopes that the relationship between the two universities will become increasingly stronger through cooperative activities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Sakkie Pretorious, Vice-Chancellor of Macquarie University, said: “I hope that the partnership between the two universities will grow thanks to two core elements: Trust and Professional Competence.”
