From February 10-13, 2025, in Paris, France, the Paris AI Summit took place. Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, accompanied a high-ranking delegation from the Ministry of Information and Communications led by Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong to attend the Conference. Vietnam’s participation affirms its active role in the international AI community, opening up opportunities for cooperation, learning and applying AI to domestic socio-economic development.

The event was chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This international conference brought together many heads of state, senior officials, CEOs and scientists from various countries. Also attending the conference with the delegation of the Ministry of Information and Communications were Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang and representatives of Vietnamese technology enterprises in France.

The conference in Paris focused on five important topics: AI for public interest, jobs, investment, ethics and regulation. With a series of investment announcements in AI announced, this year’s conference marked a shift from safety discussions to concrete actions.

The AI ​​Summit in Paris also saw the participation of major technology corporations such as Google, Microsoft and OpenAI, with the aim of promoting the development of AI in areas such as health, education, environment and culture.

During the event, the “Current AI” global public-private partnership initiative was adopted as a platform to support large-scale projects that serve the public interest. The 60 countries participating in the Paris AI Summit issued a joint statement on artificial intelligence. The joint statement reflects the need to raise awareness of the impact of AI on the labor market and promote technologies that positively shape the future of the industry. The signatories stressed the importance of strengthening coordination in AI governance and preventing market monopolies to make AI more accessible, highlighting the need to make progress in ensuring the security and trustworthiness of AI, with “sustainable” AI for society and the world being a top priority.

Participating in the Paris AI Summit is of great significance in affirming the position and brand of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, not only as a place to train leading experts in the field of AI, but also as a center for research and development of the most advanced technological solutions, meeting the urgent needs of society with the continuously increasing demand for human resources in the AI ​​industry.
