On 24th October, 2023, at Hanoi Campus of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), a meeting between representatives of PTIT and Arizona State University was organised to discuss about the potential cooperation on semiconductor development.

PTIT had the honor to welcome Mr. Jeffrey Gross, Ast Dean/Exc Dir/Asc Vice Provost, Global Outreach & Extended Ed and the delegations from Arizona State University and VMO Holdings. Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, the President and with the participation of heads of related faculties and units, PTIT had productive discussion with representatives from Arizona State University.

At the meeting, Mr. Jeffrey Gross shared a presentation which covered potential opportunities with the US Department of State for semiconductor ATP initiatives and collaboration with USAID for innovative workforce development.

With his speech at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, the President of PTIT, shared that PTIT has been seeking for opportunities for semiconductor training. As the member the Alliance of Vietnamese universities for developing high-quality human resources in the semiconductor chip industry, PTIT has been trying to connect with institutions with strengths and experiences in semiconductor industry to look for further supports for PTIT’s related activities. The connection with Arizona State University would be meaningful and hopeful for PTIT’s efforts in developing semiconductor training activities.

The two universities committed keeping each other updated on the progress of these opportunities and eagerly look forward to a robust collaboration.
