Ericsson, a leading global telecommunications solutions provider, and Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) have announced a strategic partnership aimed at equipping Vietnamese students with the skills and knowledge necessary to participate in and drive the national digital transformation with 5G and other advanced digital technologies.

The Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) was signed on August 28 by Ms. Rita Mokbel, Head of Ericsson Vietnam, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, with the participation of Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung. Under this collaboration, Ericsson will provide the Ericsson Educate digital learning platform to PTIT students, offering access to a wide range of educational resources. Ericsson will also engage in joint research with PTIT in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, and provide Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities, including involvement in projects and internships for students. Additionally, Ericsson will support the Ministry of Information and Communications in initiatives to enhance skills in preparation for the nationwide rollout of 5G. Ericsson Educate is a comprehensive digital skills portal that offers foundational knowledge in critical technology areas such as 5G, AI, machine learning, automation, blockchain, cloud computing, data science, IoT, and telecommunications. By integrating content from the Ericsson Educate platform, students and professionals at PTIT will gain access to high-quality digital learning resources, leveraging Ericsson’s extensive expertise in telecommunications and information and communications technology. This is Ericsson’s second official collaboration with an educational institution in Vietnam under the ‘Ericsson Educate’ program, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to supporting Vietnam’s digital transformation journey. By enhancing student skills in 5G and advanced technologies, this partnership aims to help Vietnam fully exploit the potential of 5G and advance its national digitalization efforts. Ms. Rita Mokbel, Head of Ericsson Vietnam, commented, “The collaboration between Ericsson and PTIT represents a significant step toward developing a highly skilled workforce, a key component in Vietnam’s digital transformation. Through this partnership, Ericsson aims to contribute to building a robust ecosystem that supports Vietnam’s digital future.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, noted, “The partnership with Ericsson will provide our students with access to advanced technology knowledge in areas such as 5G, AI, automation, machine learning, and more, as well as practical industry experience and insights. This will enable them to effectively apply these technologies as they enter the workforce, contributing to the country’s progress towards a digital economy.” Ericsson aims to support Vietnam’s Industry 4.0 and digital economy goals by educating students, deploying modern infrastructure, and encouraging developers to create innovative applications.
