2025 marks a vibrant year for the international student community at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT). With its “Multicultural University” strategy, PTIT is not only a place for knowledge training but also a common home for students from many countries such as Laos, Cambodia, Japan, Korea, and ASEAN countries.
Highlights of international student activities at the Institute in 2025:
- Academics and Scientific Research
International students at PTIT have deeply integrated into a high-quality academic environment:
- Excellent completion of training programs: Graduation ceremonies and diploma awards were held for Lao and Cambodian international students. Many international students achieved excellent and outstanding academic results in IT and Information Security majors.
- International scientific conferences: Attracting students from partner universities (Japan, Belgium, Australia) to participate in joint academic forums at the Institute. In particular, the graduation thesis defenses in English for international students in Computer Science.

This is the most vibrant area of activity, helping to break down language barriers and foster friendship:
- National Holidays: Organizing solemn celebrations of major holidays such as Buon Pi May (Laos), Chol Chnam Thmay (Cambodia), and the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic right at PTIT campus.

PTIT organizes a meeting with Lao students to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
- “Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange” Program: Welcoming a delegation of students from Gifu University (Japan) to participate in a series of cultural experience activities: a picnic at Bat Trang pottery village, learning to make banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes), and learning Vietnamese calligraphy with PTIT students.

Multinational Cultural Exchange Day 2025
- Networking: Establishing the “PTIT International Student Club” to support newly enrolled international students with administrative procedures, daily life, and Vietnamese language learning.
- Sports and Extracurricular Activities
- Friendship Football Tournament: Organizing an annual football tournament between Lao and Cambodian international student teams and Vietnamese students, creating a healthy playground and fostering a spirit of solidarity.

- Language Training: Organizing intensive Vietnamese language training classes to help international students quickly grasp specialized lectures and integrate into life in Hanoi.
- Opening of the Vietnamese Language Preparatory Course for International Students at PTIT
Impressive figures for 2025:
- Over 200 international students currently enrolled in long-term and short-term programs at PTIT.
- 15 large-scale cultural exchange events organized annually.
- 100% of international students participate in academic support programs and practical internships.
The presence and active participation of international students in 2025 will contribute to transforming PTIT into a vibrant educational ecosystem.
