On April 24, 2026, under the witness of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam, and Mr. Bae Kyung Hoon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science, ICT of Korea, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) of Korea on the implementation of the Korea–ASEAN Digital Academy (KADA) Program.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, and a representative of NIPA exchange the MoU under the witness of Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan and Mr. Bae Kyung Hoon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science, ICT of Korea
KADA program aims to develop high-quality human resources in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies in Vietnam, while promoting enterprise connectivity and employment support through a training model closely aligned with local industry needs. KADA is one of the key components of the Korea–ASEAN Digital Innovation Flagship (KADIF), a strategic initiative between Korea and ASEAN designed to bridge the digital gap, foster AI talent development, and strengthen the regional digital innovation ecosystem.
Through the Ministry of Science and Technology as the national focal point, PTIT has been selected as the local implementing partner for the KADA Program in Vietnam for the 2026–2027 period. The Korean partners participating in the program include Seokyeong University (SKU), a university recognized for its strengths in AI-focused education linked to industry demand, and WIT Global, a company supporting enterprise networking and industrial collaboration activities in Vietnam. The involvement of these partners is expected to enhance the practical, application-oriented, and employment-driven aspects of the program.
Based on surveys of local conditions and implementation capacity, the KADA program will be deployed at PTIT’s Ho Chi Minh City campus. The initiative will focus on training IT students, recent graduates, and learners seeking to enhance their digital competencies through personalized pathways ranging from foundational to advanced skills in AI, Web, Mobile, and Data technologies.

According to the implementation plan, the program will adopt an integrated full-stack training model, combining classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and project-based learning. Participants will also engage in project mentoring sessions with experts, portfolio reviews, mock interviews, and a final Demo Day that enables direct networking opportunities with Vietnamese and Korean enterprises.
The program is expected to successfully train and support employment connections for approximately 100 learners annually, thereby contributing to the development of a highly skilled digital workforce capable of meeting the demands of Vietnam’s digital transformation and digital economy development.
The cooperation with NIPA and other reputable Korean partners further reaffirms PTIT’s position and capabilities in advanced technology education, research, and international collaboration, while also contributing to the strengthening of Vietnam–Korea cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.
