On September 12, 2025, at the Hanoi campus, the Faculty of Electronics Engineering 1, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) solemnly held the Inauguration Ceremony of the XR Semiconductor Technology Practice Laboratory (XR Lab).
This event marks an important milestone in realizing PTIT’s strategic vision of becoming a leading center for high-quality human resource training, meeting the national strategic requirements for the development of the semiconductor industry.
The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT; Dr. Yong Seon Kang, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Meshlink – the partner company that accompanied and sponsored the XR Platform software for the laboratory; along with representatives of PTIT’s leadership units and a large number of students.

In his speech at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac emphasized:
“The inauguration of the XR Lab today is not merely the launch of a modern laboratory, but a strong affirmation of PTIT’s role in semiconductor human resource training. PTIT identifies semiconductors as a strategic field that requires systematic and continuous investment, closely linked with industry partners, in order to train a new generation of engineers with global competencies, ready to participate in the high-tech supply chain.”
He further affirmed:
“PTIT will continue to expand international cooperation, update the latest technologies, and develop interdisciplinary training programs to bridge academic knowledge with industrial practice, thereby contributing to the national goal of becoming a regional semiconductor manufacturing hub.”

The XR Lab serves as an open “knowledge playground”, enabling students to access advanced XR technologies, practice semiconductor manufacturing processes, and significantly shorten the gap between classroom learning and real-world research and production environments. Immediately after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, students experienced XR technology firsthand under the guidance of Meshlink experts, creating an enthusiastic and inspiring atmosphere for learning and innovation.
Representing the corporate partner, Dr. Yong Seon Kang, CTO of Meshlink, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to accompanying PTIT by providing advanced XR technology platforms and solutions, ensuring that students can learn and practice in an international-standard environment.

Dr. Yong Seon Kang, CTO of Meshlink, commits to accompanying PTIT in semiconductor technology training.
The inauguration of the XR Lab not only concluded amid applause and excitement from faculty members and students of the Faculty of Engineering and PTIT as a whole, but also opened a new chapter in the PTIT”s development journey. With the XR Lab, PTIT is gradually building a comprehensive semiconductor training ecosystem. From this foundation, students will be able to study and conduct research in a modern environment, access semiconductor manufacturing processes aligned with international standards, and confidently integrate into the global semiconductor industry. Research projects and high-tech startup ideas will also gain greater opportunities for realization.
The event also represents a significant step in PTIT’s continued affirmation of its position as one of the five core higher education institutions of the National Semiconductor Training Alliance, maintaining its pioneering role in supplying high-quality human resources and accompanying the country’s semiconductor development strategy.
