Hanoi, December 9, 2025 – The leadership of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) held a high-level working session with a delegation from Pai Chai University (Korea), led by President Kim Wook. The meeting opened up numerous new prospects for cooperation in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Software Engineering, and the convergence of technology with the socio-cultural industry.

During the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Vice President of PTIT, affirmed that PTIT’s development orientation is to become an open ecosystem. In the context of global digital transformation, PTIT is removing geographical and academic barriers and is ready to implement flexible mechanisms to promote the exchange of students and lecturers, as well as to adopt advanced training programs from international partners. This is particularly relevant to Korea, a nation with a long-standing cooperative relationship with the PTIT, currently collaborating strongly in fields such as Game Design and Development, Information Technology, and Artificial Intelligence.

From the partner’s side, Pai Chai University boasts a 140-year history and a global cooperation network spanning 200 universities. Speaking at the meeting, President Kim Wook expressed his impression of PTIT’s training capacity and position within the Vietnamese higher education system. He noted that Pai Chai University shares many similarities with PTIT regarding key sectors such as AI, Software Engineering, and Automation.

Discussing the direction of cooperation, Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien suggested that while the two institutions share similarities, the unique characteristics and differences are the core factors that will unlock new collaborative opportunities. The PTIT’s leadership proposed starting with common grounds, such as student exchanges and articulation programs, to pave the way for identifying specific, practical, and effective points of cooperation.

Both sides dedicated time to deeply discuss the trend of combining Technology with the Socio-cultural Industry. This is a field where Korea possesses superior strength and represents a fresh, potential-filled direction that PTIT is targeting to diversify capabilities for its students. Simultaneously, both parties expressed the determination to build a sustainable, high-quality partnership and believe that opportunities for collaboration between the two universities will expand further.

Concluding the meeting, both sides agreed to continue detailed discussions to realize ideas regarding high-quality human resource training, especially in the key technological fields of mutual interest.
