On December 10, 2024, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) organized the Final Round of the AI CONTEST 2024 at Hanoi campus. This is an intellectual playground using the Tetris Battle game in the Arcade Learning Environment (ALE) – a popular platform in AI agent research and development. The competition not only brings an entertaining experience but also helps contestants learn skills, combine learning and playing, and practice AI thinking in a dramatic environment.
After more than a month of launching, the Organizing Committee has received more than 40 applications from student teams in the Academy. The contestants have undergone training with dedicated guidance from lecturers to build competitive AI models (MODELs).
On December 1, 2024, after intense and exciting elimination matches, the Organizing Committee selected the 16 best teams to enter the final round. These are the teams that have demonstrated their creativity and ability to apply superior algorithms.
At the final round taking place on December 10, 2024, the atmosphere in the hall was filled with excitement and enthusiasm. With enthusiastic cheers from the audience and a high competitive spirit from the competing teams, each match became a spectacular, dramatic and surprising performance. In the opening ceremony, the representative of PTIT’s leadership spoke, emphasizing the meaning of the competition, not only as an intellectual playground but also as an opportunity for students to practice their skills and creative thinking. The encouragement from the leaders further motivated the competing teams to perform their best, bringing high-quality and emotional matches.

The final round is where the teams demonstrate their programming ability to build AI models with unique and creative strategies. The AI models have demonstrated their flexibility in handling situations, optimizing scores by arranging blocks effectively, and responding quickly to unexpected challenges in the game. The dramatic matches, especially the confrontations in the quarterfinals and semi-finals, brought the audience moments of breathless suspense when each score played a decisive role. The atmosphere in the hall exploded with each excellent performance, affirming the outstanding talent and intelligence of the teams. After a series of intense matches, the team TÔI YÊU PTIT has excellently surpassed all opponents, won the CHAMPIONSHIP and received a reward from the Organizing Committee. Second Prize went to the team datGchoitettris and the Third Prize went to two teams named GameOverlords and IEC_Time_to_Shine. The Encouragement Prizes went to the teams: D22KH02, huskywannafly, T.Thunder, haianhdat.
