PTIT has actively participated in cooperation activities with NIC and Google, especially through the Digital Talent Development Program. Many students of the Institute have successfully completed digital skills training courses and received incentives from the program, contributing to improving digital capacity and the ability to integrate into the global labor market. This success not only affirms PTIT’s pioneering role in the field of information and communication technology education and training, but also motivates it to continue to promote cooperation with strategic partners such as Google, aiming to develop high-quality human resources to meet the needs of national digital transformation.

According to a Google representative, Vietnam is one of the countries with the fastest growing digital economies in Southeast Asia and has many prospects in the future. The Digital Talent Development Program is implemented to provide courses that equip workers with the necessary digital knowledge and skills with the aim of meeting the requirements of the digital economy. The program has been successfully implemented by Google in many countries and will begin in Vietnam from July 2022. NIC is the sole sponsor and focal point in coordination with Google to implement this Program in Vietnam. In 2024, more than 80 universities, colleges and organizations participated in and supported the implementation of the program, with nearly 7,000 students completing at least 01 course of the Program and being granted a globally valuable Career Certificate from Google.

In 2025, the Program will continue to expand its scale by extending 40,000 scholarships and expanding the scholarship recipients. In addition to the Program’s traditional students including staff, lecturers, students of universities and colleges, job seekers and workers in startups, small and medium enterprises, as well as civil servants and public employees, the Program will focus more on vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, groups with high unemployment risks due to economic transformation, and vocational training centers.
